FAQs
How does Laser Tattoo Removal work?
Our clinic utilizes the advanced Pico Laser and Nd:YAG Laser, both of which employ state-of-the-art technology for effective tattoo removal. These lasers deliver ultra-short picosecond pulses into the skin, creating a photomechanical effect. This non-thermal process shatters the tattoo ink into tiny particles, which are then naturally absorbed and removed by your body’s lymphatic system.
This technique is highly efficient, even on tattoos of all colours, and requires fewer treatments for noticeable results. It is designed to clear your skin while preserving the surrounding tissue, ensuring minimal discomfort and minimal risk of scarring.
Is it painful?
Yes and no. It depends where the tattoo is. Some areas on the body hurt more than others (like bony areas – ankles, lower spine etc) however it mainly feels rubber band being snapped against their skin.
How many treatments do I need?
With the Picosecond Nd:YAG Laser as little as 4-6 treatments can provide effective tattoo removal. The variables are the type of ink used, and how old the tattoo is. The other thing is, you may be happy to have a faded tattoo. Others may want the tattoo removed fully
How can I achieve Optimal Results for Tattoo Removal?
To achieve the best results for tattoo removal, consider the following tips:
Follow Treatment Guidelines: Attend all scheduled sessions and follow your technician’s advice regarding the number of treatments needed. Each session progressively breaks down the tattoo ink, so consistency is key.
Allow Time Between Sessions: It’s essential to give your skin time to heal between treatments. Typically, sessions are spaced 6-8 weeks apart to allow your body to naturally absorb and eliminate the broken-down ink particles.
Protect Your Skin: After each session, avoid sun exposure on the treated area, as this can cause irritation or pigmentation changes. Use a high SPF sunscreen on the area if exposure is unavoidable.
Hydrate and Nourish Your Skin: Keep your skin moisturized and well-hydrated before and after treatment to support the healing process and minimize irritation.
Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle: Eating a balanced diet and staying hydrated can boost your immune system, which helps your body eliminate the ink particles more effectively.
Avoid Picking or Scratching: After treatment, the area may scab or peel. Avoid picking or scratching to prevent scarring and ensure the tattoo breaks down effectively.
By following these steps and working closely with your technician, you can achieve the best possible results with your tattoo removal treatment.
What is the Pre Treatment Care
During your consultation, your laser technician will advise how to prepare for your Laser Tattoo Removal Session.
It is important to understand and follow a few recommendations before your Laser Tattoo Removal session to ensure your skin responds well to the laser and to get the best results possible!
- Avoid sun and keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight. Regularly apply Eternal Beauty’s SPF 30+ to the area up to 4 weeks prior.
- Reduce/ stop smoking up to 4 weeks prior.
- Avoid waxing and/or use of chemical depilatories to the area up to 2 weeks prior.
- Shave the area 24 hours prior to treatment.
- Ensure no fitted clothing is worn on the area where the tattoo is being removed. We suggest arriving with loose fitting clothing to prevent rubbing or irritation after treatment.
- Topical Anaesthetic can be applied to numb the surface or body part prior to treatment. We recommend applying the topical anaesthetic at least 1 hour before treatment. You can purchase a clinical strength topical anesthetic cream or numbing cream application prior to your treatment from our Bayside clinic.
What is the Post Treatment Care?
- Clean and Moisturize: Gently clean the area and apply a non-scented moisturizer or healing ointment.
- Avoid Sun Exposure: Keep the treated area out of direct sunlight and use high SPF sunscreen.
- Do Not Scratch or Pick: Let scabs naturally fall off to avoid scarring.
- Wear Loose Clothing: Prevent irritation by wearing loose-fitting clothes over the treated area.
- Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to support the healing process.
- Avoid Hot Water and Tight Clothing: Stay away from hot showers, saunas, and tight clothing for a few days.
- Watch for Infection: Monitor for any signs of infection and contact your clinician if necessary.
By following these steps, you’ll help ensure faster healing and the best possible results.
Vascular Removal
Clear skin, no more broken capillaries!
As we age, broken capillaries and dilated blood vessels can become more noticeable, particularly on the face and chest. These imperfections can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics and both internal and external environmental influences.
Ready to eliminate these visible blemishes for good? Our Laser Vein Treatment offers a safe, non-invasive solution to target and reduce dilated blood vessels, leaving your skin clearer and more even-toned.
How it works
Our Laser Vein Treatment is performed by highly skilled technicians using the state-of-the-art Gentle YAG laser.
During the procedure, focused laser energy penetrates the skin to target and treat visible capillaries. The laser specifically targets the blood vessels, causing them to break down and be naturally absorbed by the body, while leaving surrounding tissue unharmed. We offer treatment for broken capillaries from the waist up.
Over the next two weeks, the treated vessels are gradually eliminated through the body’s lymphatic system, resulting in clearer, more even skin.

FAQs
What is telangiectasia?
Telangiectasias (commonly known as “spider veins”) are dilated or broken blood vessels located near the surface of the skin. They often appear as fine pink or red lines, which temporarily whiten when pressed. “Matted” telangiectasias are clusters of these small dilated blood vessels that form a pink or red patch on the skin. Individuals who are otherwise healthy can develop this condition, and it is sometimes associated with varicose veins.
What causes them?
Varicose and spider veins are damaged veins. We develop them when tiny, one-way valves inside the veins weaken. In healthy veins, these valves push blood in one direction — back to our heart. When these valves weaken, some blood flows backward and accumulates in the vein. Extra blood in the vein puts pressure on the walls of the vein.
With continual pressure, the vein walls weaken and bulge. In time, we see a varicose or spider vein.
Can Varicose Veins be treated with Laser?
We do not treat varicose veins at Forever Young Skin and Beauty Clinic.
How many treatments do I need?

What is the recovery like?
Recovery time can vary between individuals, but generally, there is no downtime required, and most clients can resume normal activities immediately. It is recommended to avoid intense exercise for at least a week to ensure proper healing. Minor bruising, tenderness, and slight swelling in the treated area are common but temporary, typically resolving within a few days.
What is Pre Treatment Care?
- Avoid sun exposure for at least 2 weeks and use high SPF sunscreen if necessary.
- Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, etc.) 7-10 days prior to treatment.
- Stay hydrated to support better results and healing.
- Avoid skin irritation—no shaving, waxing, or exfoliating a few days before.
- Inform your specialist of any health conditions, allergies, or medications.
- Familiarize yourself with aftercare instructions for proper recovery.
These steps help prepare your skin and body for the best possible treatment outcomes.
What is the Post Treatment Care?
- Keep the area clean with mild soap and lukewarm water; pat dry gently.
- Moisturize with a non-scented ointment to support healing.
- Protect from the sun with high SPF sunscreen for 4-6 weeks.
- Avoid scratching or picking scabs or peeling skin.
- Refrain from strenuous exercise for at least a week.
- Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy lifestyle for faster recovery.
- Monitor for signs of infection (redness, swelling) and contact your practitioner if needed.
These steps help ensure proper healing and optimal results after your treatment.
How soon can I see the results?
You may begin to notice improvements within a few weeks after treatment, as the veins gradually fade. Full results are typically visible within 2-3 months.
Lesion Removal
Goodbye Lesions, Hello Confidence!
At Forever Young Skin and Beauty, we offer advanced treatments for the removal of various skin lesions. After an initial consultation, our qualified Dermal Therapist will assess your condition and recommend the most effective treatment plan tailored to your needs. We utilize a range of cutting-edge technologies to ensure the best laser solution for you.
Skin Lesion Removal with Clinical Skin Clear
Our Clinical Skin Clear technology is highly effective for removing many types of skin lesions. This treatment uses vaporization to dehydrate the lesion without causing burning or scarring. The procedure targets the lesion specifically, ensuring no damage to surrounding tissue. The treatment is generally quick with minimal discomfort and a fast recovery time—ranging from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the lesion. As the treatment is superficial, more than one session may be required for optimal results.
Mole Removal with Q-Switched YAG Laser
For moles, we use the Q-Switched YAG laser, which helps fade and remove moles over a series of treatments. This method is safe, precise, and effective for mole removal.
Treatment for Red Spots Post-Acne
Red spots or post-acne scars respond very well to IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) therapy, performed over several sessions. IPL targets pigmentation and redness, helping to reduce the appearance of these spots and promote even skin tone.
